*Flooding* 3137 N San Fernando Rd; MAP https://goo.gl/maps/hq4nH; FS 50; Glassell Park; A big rig truck sheared a hydrant sending a geyser of water to the roof of a nearby single-story building. While LAFD worked to shut off the water, a woman heard screaming for help inside. Firefighters used a chain saw to force open a door, when they did so, water that had flooded the building when the roof partially collapsed came gushing out. Firefighters went into the building and assisted carrying out a man - an amputee of approximately 50 years of age - to safety. They also rescued his cat, retrieved his prosthetic leg, and searched for his medication. Firefighters then comforted and warmed the man, who was not injured, and even brought him a long-sleeve LAFD shirt to wear.; Ch:7, @ 4:21 AM -Erik Scott###
