UPDATE: 4400 WOODMAN AV* 8" water main break creating significant buckling in the street. Water was flowing down both sides of the street. No property was damaged. Firefighters laid loaded 4" hose across driveways to stop water from entering structures and parking garages. Firefighters rapidly cleared storm drains from debris to assist water drain. The water was shut off in approximately 35 min. Woodman Ave is expected to be closed from Milbank St to Moorpark St over night. Approximately 800 to 900 apartment units are without water for an unk amount of time. 2 fire hydrants are out of service. Residents from the following occupancy's on Woodman Ave are not able to drive out of their parking areas 4415 to 4419 1/2 (duplexes), 4427 (2- story apt building), 4418 & 4424 (3-story apartment buildings) for an unk length of time due to unsafe street buckling. Water & Power are on scene and awaiting the arrival of their heavy equip. All apartment managers have been notified. LAFD units making selves available.
