probably, the manager account only exists in your slapd.conf file. In
this case it is only a virtual account and cannot be edited.
In this case just create a normal account with the Unix extension. Then
give it the same rights as your manager account on your LDAP database.
In the LAM server profile replace the manager account with the newly
created one. Now use your new account to manage your LDAP users.
