Good thought, but this is on a fresh OS and Apache + PHP installation 
(Apache 2.2.20, PHP 5.3.8).  I have also reinstalled from scratch a 
couple times, and the problem is still there.

I am installing from tar.gz on Solaris 10.  By the way, all the other 
functionality in 3.5.0 works fine, as far as I can tell.  It's just the 
AJAX password set dialog that has a problem.

Thank you for the info about the demo server.  I agree it should not 
matter, but still looking for any possible leads.
