sounds a bit strange. I will need to know the LDAP queries and results
between LAM and your LDAP server to check this.
Can you enable debug output on your LDAP server and send me the logs
when you click on the delete button and get the error?

For OpenLDAP edit /etc/ldap/slapd.conf and turn logging on with the line
"loglevel 256". OpenLDAP uses /var/log/syslog for log output.
