Hello I installed Ldap from this instructions:
https://help.ubuntu.com/11.10/serverguide/C/openldap-server.html
and later some of this ones
https://help.ubuntu.com/11.10/serverguide/C/samba-ldap.html
until here *ldapmodify -Q -Y EXTERNAL -H ldapi:/// -f samba_indices.ldif*
*
*
*
*
When I configure Ldap account Manager all fine..
then I log into my new profile called by my company name..
and the first issue I get is:

The following suffix(es) are missing in LDAP. LAM can create them for you.
ou=People,dc=my-domain,dc=comou=group,dc=my-domain,dc=com
ou=machines,dc=my-domain,dc=comdc=my-domain,dc=com

But I already have those... of course with my domain, I can confirm going
to the Tree View..

then.. if I go to Users/Groups/Hosts/Samba Domains I get a:

LDAP search failed! Please check your preferences.

I know I have at least one test user called joe that I created for the
instructions in the link I posted above..
and I can see him as well on the Tree view.. then I think maybe is because
I dont have a samba domain yet..
I try to create it and
Was unable to create DN: sambaDomainName=XXXX,dc=my-domain,dc=com

first of all the error then im puzze that says dc=domain dc=com is wrong..

please help

Thanks
