I am not 100% sure if there was a bug in 3.6 but in 3.7 multi-delete
works. 3.7 also fixes some other problems.

The column must be named "posixAccount_password". Please use the
sample CSV on the upload page as template.
You will need the clear text passwords. Otherwise, LAM will hash the
existing password hashes again. If you only have hashed passwords in
your old database you can set the password hashing in the LAM server
profile to PLAIN, this will not change the password values in the CSV.

This will upload LDIF files. It depends what is easier for you to
generate. LDIF is more flexible but CSV can be edited in a simple
spreadsheet application.
