You are not right, it is here :-)

But i never tried to use the "Tree/import" (i am not sure in English)
functionality for LDIFs. When i need to import pure LDIF, i am using
ldapadd, the command line (shell) utility from openldap package, but i
don't like pure LDIF, because there are problems with UTF-8 values - in
output LDIF they are base64 encoded. But bulk manipulating in whole LDIF
is more simple than in spreadsheet :-)

I can confirm, that importing via CSV file is great option. I am using it,
and not only for bulk import. I have created "template" (not real
template, but predefined file), which i have created from supplied
example (it can be downloaded from CSV import page). This example file i
have saved as LibreOffice Calc spreadsheet and created some formulas, to
auto fill fields (attributes) as uid, email, etc from another fields and
some predefined values. I have removed unused/unwanted fields too. After
filling one or more account information here, i save it as CSV file and
then upload it via LAM.

Some of these ODS files i have archived as passwords database, because my
students often forgets their passwords :-)

regards
