Hi Roland.

This morning I performed some more tests. When I remove the ACLs (setfacl) that are on the folders and use standard Linux permissions ie rwx it all performs normally; the users can belong to multiple groups and the permissions are respected.

Bare in mind we are use FREEBSD to talk with our LDAP server. My investigations so far suggest ACLs on FREEBSD have some nuances that are difficult to understand.

Ill keep you updated if it starts to fail again.

Thanks,

Dan

Sorry Roland this is the correct screen shot. Our group is assigned to

I cannot see the group name in your screen shot from tree view. Is this
group listed as selected or available in user edit screen?

If it is not listed at all: does it have object class "posixGroup"?
Please also check that the "gidNumber" values of your groups are unique.
