Yes, copying the PEM file provides a quick fix.
What will be the next step. Should I just follow this mail list for updates?

I was able to reproduce the issue. Will check what happens.
As workaround you can copy the following file from your old server:
/var/lib/ldap-account-manager/config/serverCerts.pem

Web page reports no errors, just simply refreshes.
I get no error messages in Apache logs even with LogLevel set to debug.
The 5.6 version is different - running on Redhat 6 PHP 5.5 and Apache 2.2
I switched to PHP 5.6 because its listed as a requirement for 6.2.
Also, the 6.2 version is using Apache 2.4
Oddly, everything else seems fine, except for this certificate thing?

do you get any error messages? Please also check your Apache error log.
How do the installations differ between LAM 5.6 and 6.2? E.g. do you use
different PHP/Apache versions?

A recent implementation of 6.2 works fine except for the SSL certificates
features.
In general settings, the SSL certificates section does not work.
Both upload and import features fail to retrieve certificates.
The web page just returns/refreshes to its former state and the upload or
import do not occur.
I've have an older 5.6 version where this works fine.
Platform is Redhat 7 with their PHP 5.6 release.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
