I'm definitely driving to the Lancair Open House in September. I'm willing
to bring stuff back to Palmdale California so all you SoCal builders can save
shipping costs. I'll be driving my wife's enclosed pickup truck, so space
should not be a problem. (No, I won't pick up your new kits! Just pieces...)
I don't charge for Hazmat, either.
I'll be driving up along I-5 between Gorman and Redding. If you live in
Northern California or Bakersfield and would like to meet me on the way back,
that could be arranged, but my plans are to carry your stuff to Palmdale and
have you come pick it up. If you want to fly to Lancaster (Fox Airport),
I'll meet you there, also.
Just call Vern and order your stuff, and tell him that I'll be picking it up
for you. He already knows about this, so it shouldn't be a surprise. Have
him box it up in some convenient manner (even a paper bag is okay) to keep
your stuff separate from everyone elses. Also, let me know so I can make
sure it gets in the truck.
