Gentleman,

In the TK5 shocks, the nitrogen (air) and oil are seperated by a piston (IFP-internal 
floating piston).  The air and oil do NOT interact with each other.

By the way, I have a couple of different bicycle strut pumps on the way.  I will test 
them on how they work as a way to fill shocks when you do not have access to a 
nitrogen tank.
