<< I'm told by the local EAA tech counselor that any crud which will pass
through my gascolator screen will most likely pass successfully through
the the injectors on my IO360B1F. >>

Angier: Debris as small as a human hair can block a fuel nozzle, and the old
Cessna style gascolator screens will only keep out the bigger tools and parts
left behind. I've had engines quit (completely) due to trash blocking the
inner operations of the fuel pump and the RSA fuel servo's. Go with a proven
filter/screen at least as good as the one in the Lancair gascolator or the
in-line filter. the gascolator was designed to the TCM spec's and certainly
better than what's needed for the Lycoming installations. BEWARE buying one
from the speed shop as there is a definite difference between carburated and
Injected fuel flow's in the automotive world.
