Once again my trusty old Pratt& Whitney Aircraft vest pocket handbook comes
to the rescue...
On page 93 of my 6/78 edition under 'Weights of Liquids', gasoline is given
a sp gr of 0.72 and a specific weight (lbs/gal) of 5.87. I have used this
for years and am still getting off the ground. There are various weights
given for jet fuel depending on the grade. Usefull ones are JP-4 at 6.55
and JP-5 at 6.82. Temperature is given only for the JP-5 at 15*C. Who has
the latest from Pratt?
Walt Dodson
