Re: screen sizing in the wing tanks of a LN-2. Why bother with the
screens in the tanks anyway. Contaminants, water etc should be bled from the
tank drains and/or the gascolator all which are accessable. Most carb'd
engines have a screen there also. Tank Screens seem to be an overkill to me
and present real problems to clean if they do plug, which is in my
estimation very unlikely. A more real problem with some LN2's is the
connection and orientation of the fuel line fitting coming out of the tank,
it can bind on the fulislage outboard rib if not relieved properly.
