I had a really nice email conversation with the Tachelhit Incubator editors. As a result of that conversation, I made a patch for the converter, and it was merged on Monday. If all goes well, it will be deployed next week. So this is definitely not a blocker any longer. Even if more problems are found with this converter, I now know the code quite well, and can probably fix it quickly.
