I don't know what was intended with Akan exactly. As far as I can see, It
was created in 2004, and Twi was created in 2003. I'm not sure what
prompted the creation. If anyone knows how to find more documentation about
their creation, such as bug reports, talk pages, or configuration file
logs, I'll be very thankful.

Maybe that was the intention, but I'm not sure. I might be wrong, but my
wild guess is that there was no particular intention behind it, and it was
just one of the many wikis created back then without a lot of background
checking.

Since 2018, I asked several people to check the content in Akan, and they
all said that it's all only Twi (Akuapem and Asante) and not Fante.

At some point I thought that maybe it's good to keep ak for Akuapem and
dedicate tw to Asante, but everyone said that Akuapem and Asante are almost
the same in writing, while Fante is distinct, and the term "Akan" includes
all varieties of Fante and Twi.
