The test-project is active for 11 months now: https://meta.toolforge.org/catanalysis/index.php?cat=0&title=wt/mad&wiki=incubatorwiki with a good number of users. A random sample of pages look decent enough to me, even citing a source (though it was always the same book in the pages I saw). About interface translation, I'll ask the community to complete (again, probably) the most-used messages, currently at 93%.
