Hallo!

I am going through
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Open_requests_for_new_languages ,
project by project, letter by letter, up to ten requests per email, one
email per day.

I am now working on Wikipedia, and today I'm handling the first batch of
the letter M.

== Magahi ==
Request:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Magahi
Code: mag
My take: Eligible.

== Maguindanaon ==
Request:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Maguindanaon
Code: mdh
My take: Eligible.

== Makassar Malay ==
Request:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Makassar_Malay
Code: mfp
My take: Don't know. In the discussion, there are some people who say that
it's perhaps the same as Malay (ms), but there are other opinions, too.
It's also unclear whether this language is written anywhere at all. This
reminds me of the situation with Hejazi (acw), which I mentioned in the
email about the letter H.

== Makhuwa ==
Request:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Makhuwa
Code: vmw
My take: Eligible.

== Mampruli ==
Request:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Mampruli
Code: maw
My take: Eligible. I've recently been in contact with a Wikipedian who
knows it and is interested in contributing to it.

== Manado Malay ==
Request:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Manado_Malay
Code: xmm
My take: Probably eligible. As with Makassar Malay, it's hard to say how
unique it is. For what it's worth, Ethnologue says that there's dictionary,
grammar, and New Testament translation, and the digital status is
"Ascending". The Incubator has quite a lot of pages, too. Any other
opinions?

== Manobo ==
Request:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Manobo
Code: mbb
My take: Delete unless the request creator replies at
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Qzxpqbp#Request_for_Wikipedia_Manobo
