Hallo! I am going through https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Open_requests_for_new_languages , project by project, letter by letter, up to ten requests per email, one email per day.
I am now working on Wikipedia, and today I'm handling the letter P. == Petjo == Request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Petjo Code: pey My take: Eligible? The language is a nearly-extinct creole, but the content in the Incubator looks kind of legit. Other opinions are welcome. == Pitjantjatjara == Request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Pitjantjatjara Code: pjt My take: Not sure. The language is eligible, but I'm really not sure that the request is serious. It's by an anonymous user who proceeded to create a few very short pages in the Incubator. == Pothwari == Request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Pothwari Code: phr My take: Waiting. There's a comment on the request page that says that it is probably not so different from Shahmukhi Punjabi (pnb), and that the current content in the Incubator can fit in pnb.wikipedia. I can't say myself if this is true, but it may be. I've sent a question about it to the expert who helped us with verifying Saraiki (skr), and who probably knows about Pothwari, too. -- Amir Elisha Aharoni · אָמִיר אֱלִישָׁע אַהֲרוֹנִי http://aharoni.wordpress.com “We're living in pieces, I want to live in peace.” – T.
