Note section 6. This seems to be right up LangSec's alley. Postel's Maxim: "In general, an implementation should be conservative in its sending behavior, and liberal in its receiving behavior." The authors of the draft propose replacing this maxim with: "Protocol designs and implementations should be maximally strict."
