The memory card is just a storage system. It does not have to a filesystem, or file system like. It is possible the storage system is database-like systen (like PalmOS database). The network interface may be very different from BSD socket. Is there any advantage to use op instead of native implemented function??? I believe the reason behind this issue is Perl XS API sucks, it is much easy to write an op than a XS function. If Perl does have a decent native interface.... Hong
