Actually, this is a limitation of LibreOffice: in principle, we should be able both to say that there is no error in the sentence (effectively, discarding hunspell results from LO), and to return spelling errors to be marked in red. In principle, because there is only definition of these features in the specification of the API, it is not implemented at all.
But yes, this should be configurable, maybe per language (not necessarily by the user). However, as we discard all results of tokenization, it becomes a little more tricky: we would have to map the string that was marked as an error by hunspell to our tokenized sentence.
