Hi,
Softcatalà, an organization that promotes software in Catalan and specially
linguistic tools (translator, spellchecker, etc.), is willing to use
LanguageTool in its website. Its online spellchecker received 500.000
visits last December (a bad month). So perhaps LanguageTool should be
implemented in its own servers (I'm not sure about this).
In addition, in the case of Catalan, we need to offer necessarily some kind
of configuration options (at least for regional variants, and a few
others). It would be also useful the possibility of enable/disable
spellling/grammar/style error detection. We can look for a general solution
in LanguageTool, or we could solve this in an independent implementation.
