LT doesn't really support anything else than plain text, so your best bet 
is probably to export to plain text and check that, and make changes in 
your texinfo source. The more elegant way for the user would be to have a 
plug-in for the editor you're using that makes sure LT only gets the text 
parts, not the markup.
