Here is an attempt to explain it: On 9th July, there was a big rise in the download numbers.[1] On the some day, the number of Catalan users increased a lot[2], probably because of some kind of Catalan ads (whoever it was, thank you). Those downloads came from the “normal” detail page.[3] Because of the increase in download numbers, LanguageToolFx showed up in the category “up and coming” on the AMO homepage.[4] Starting from 16th July, most downloads have been initiated from the “up and coming” page.[3] Interestingly, the majority of those downloads come from Windows users.[5] [1] https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/languagetoolfx/statistics/?last=90 [2] https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/languagetoolfx/statistics/usage/languages/?last=90 [3] https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/languagetoolfx/statistics/downloads/sources/?last=90 [4] https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/ [5] https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/languagetoolfx/statistics/usage/os/?last=90 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your SQL database under version control now!
