Note: it never worked for me to get Maven project directly from git 
repository using m2e in Eclipse. I spent 5 hours trying to achieve that. 
It turned out to be easier to use git to download the repository to my 
disk, and then use m2e to configure the project. I prefer using github 
GUI app to sync commits.
