As I learn more about LanguageTool, some questions come to mind that I would like those more experienced to answer.
1. How many people/applications use the tool, and for what purpose? 2. When do developers (of language rules) find the tool is sufficiently comprehensive? 3. What are the best strategies/procedures to develop material for a specific language? 4. How do style and grammar co-habit in this tool? What I have found so far is a mixture of approaches, often haphazard, and representing a reinterpretation of grammar rules. If LanguageTool is primarily for those involved in learning a language, that may be a suitable approach. Yet, that won't beat a good grammar book. If, however, LanguageTool is for native speakers, where do its target users come from? Thanks for any clarification, and the "big picture".
