My plan for now is to add a link to language-specific pages on the homepage, once we have fixed the design of those language-specific pages. Making the homepage localizable is not without problems: as soon as a text gets modified, people have to make a translation. And experience shows that this doesn't always happen, so the homepage would then end up with some English/non-English mix.
