Hi,

we sent out a German press release this week about LanguageTool checking
Wikipedia. It has been picked up by one tech news site (pro-linux.de)
and a major tech blog (stadt-bremerhaven.de). On the day of the release,
we had about 700 additional visitors and 300 more downloads than usual.

I'd encourage you to send out a similar press release for the language
that you work on in LT. The text cannot simply be translated, though, as
it refers to the German Wikipedia. The basic idea is that the errors
found by LT in the Wikipedia have been checked by a professional editor,
so we know now the number of real errors found by LT in the Wikipedia
(that number is projected from a small subset, as Wikipedia is so
large).

The original press release is available here:
http://wiki.languagetool.org/pressemitteilung:software-languagetool-findet-1-million-text

Let me know if you're interested in sending out a press release yourself
and I'll provide some help. It's not really difficult and it's a good
way to reach people who don't know LT yet.

Regards
  Daniel
