Hi Marco,

I think it's related to the way file icon overlays are allocated in the
operating system (Windows?) settings.
There may be only a certain number of slots allowed and Dropbox takes over
some of those slots.

If you google around I think there is a way of turning off some of the file
icon overlays used by other programmes like Dropbox and switch back on the
Tortoise ones.
This may involve editing some registry settings, I'm not sure.
