In Galician we only use compounds for number-related constructs (e.g.
“1.ª”), which are indeed in that category of unlimited size compounds that
make no sense in the output of unmunch.

However, although I am not going to implement it in the script that I
mentioned unless someone specifically asks for it,it would be possible to
support unmunching compounds, for example setting limits on the command
line (e.g. telling unmunch to take each "*" or "+" symbol in a compound as
no more than X repetitions). Also, hunspell must support (just an
assumption) compounds with actual limits, such as "this part of the
compound can appear between 1 and 3 times", which could be easily supported.
