Hi, as we had discussed in the past, LT will require Java 8 starting with version 3.2. As we've just released LT 3.1, I've now switched the minimum requirements to Java 8, so you won't be able to compile the development version with Java 7 anymore.
Feel free to make use of Java 8 features now.
