I'm afraid I don't use Compiz much/at all either. Plus I'm using dev
builds rather than the 101b release. That said:

* /usr/bin/ccsm is (I believe) the settings manager to which you are
referring. You should also be able to get this via System -> Preferences
-> Appearance (see the Preferences button on the Visual Effects page).

* If I understand you correctly, the window setting you are trying to
adjust might be elsewhere(??). Take a look at System -> Preferences ->
Windows.

I hope one or more of the above is relevant. :-)
