Hello!
I'm configuring a new Lenoo S10e laptop, which has a BCM4312 Broadcom WiFi
interface.
I saw all over the sites that there are some workarounds to make this card
work, as happens with (no workaround in this case) the ndis programs.
Well, I've followed all the step with version 1.2.1, 1.2.2, and 1.2.3-prelim.
The only that does not panic my system is the 1.2.3, but the behaviour of the
network interface is a bit strange.
If I use WPA personal, it does not work, even asking for the key, and entering
the correct one.
If I disable WPA, and leave it without any protocol, it connects. After this,
if I reconfigure WPA, and try to make the system ask for a key, the network
applets of Gnome become very unstable.
When the system boots (take a bit more to boot), starts giving some messages
like "WARNING: ntoskrnl lost API", and when waiting to receive the "Enter
passkey" message, nothing happens but messages like "Activating Interface",
"New Wireless Networks found", and so on. But the applets cannot be clicked
with the right button, and the network connection applet (this that is more at
the right of the desktop related to the network connection) stops to work,
leaving a hole on the Gnome superior bar.
I understand that it's a prelim driver, and then some strange behaviuor may be
expected!
Is this a consequence of the "prelim"state of the driver, or is there some
known workaround I can run into?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help, and best regards.

HeCSa.
