Hi, I am having trouble getting my atheros AR928X wifi card recognized on my laptop. I have downloaded the arn driver and installed it, but it fails to attach. The drivers utility tells me that my AR928X has a driver installed but that it is mis-configured.
I checked the /var/adm/messages file and it states that there is a problem with sharing IRQ 17 (which both my atheros card and my USB controller share). But the message is a warning rather than an error, and I do not know whether this is responsible for the failure of the installation. Here is the result of lspci -vv on these two devices in case this may help resolve the problem. 00:1d.1 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) USB UHCI Controller #2 (rev 03) Subsystem: Acer Incorporated [ALI] Device 013c Control: I/O+ Mem- BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx- Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx- Latency: 0 Interrupt: pin B routed to IRQ 17 Region 4: I/O ports at 18a0 [size=32] Capabilities: <access denied> Kernel driver in use: uhci_hcd Kernel modules: uhci-hcd 03:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc.
