Please, help with getting the network on Acer Aspire with Broadcom 802 wireless.
I saw in other postings there is no specific driver for Broadcom and I need to use NDIS. The detection tool did not complain about the wireless, but I saw some people say it will miss some incompatibles. Anyway, nwam was enabled, but there was no physical device listed from ifconfig, just the virtual ones. OS installed is latest SXDE which shows as 64 bit during load-up. Vista is 32 bit. Does that make sense?? There were surmountable issues with Grub that I am willing to post to help other Acer installs, but don't see a knowledge base group. Finally: the link for the 64 bit precompiled drivers on the NDIS page is MISSING. Please, update that and provide instructions on what do i do with the downloaded driver?
