Hi,

I am having trouble connecting to my wireless network with an IBM Thinkpad
which has an ipw2100 Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 connection.

I am trying to connect to a WEP encrypted network, with a 128 bit HEX security
key. The network does not publish its SSID.

I had successfully connected to this using previous releases of Solaris (eg.
SXCE b78) however have more recently tried with OpenSolaris 2008.05 and also
SXCE b78 "bfu'ed" with a recent ON. I have tried using nwam and wificonfig and
neither will connect.

I also tried having my network publish its SSID. On that occasion I could
sometimes (but not always) see the network (sometimes!) when I issued the
command wificonfig -i ipw0 scan but it still wouldn't connect.

There is nothing wrong with my hardware as far as I can determine. I am
currently connected via the same hardware using Fedora 9.

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction with correcting this problem?

Many thanks,
Andrew.
