Running opensolaris on a ThinkPad R61 and it works well. Wireless chipset is Intel 3945 ABG and as long as your wireless encryption is WEP and you use a password of exactly 13 characters, you're good to go. Sound doesn't work out of the box with ThinkPads so you need to go here:
