On a similar note: After installing oss and rebooting my T60p (with nv. b86), I wasn't getting any sound with osstest. scanpci showed me that I had similar devices to what other people have, and the other OS produces sound nicely ... so I pressed the "mute" button, and there was my sound! The volume up/down buttons also work!
Apparently, someone (BIOS?) is turning off the sound at startup... Michael This message posted from opensolaris.org
