interestingly enough, in my work on the zyd driver, I found a different
version of the zydas driver that was developed on Solaris 9/Sparc.

I have made a little progress, but the code is very different.  I have 
been able
to port one of my devices into this code and was able to connect to a
WEP AP and get an address, but it stalled passing more packets (I think
I know what the issue is, I just haven't had time to debug and fix it).
