Which Solaris build does your laptop run?

The iwi was integrated into snv_62, so suppose it should work by default
if you run snv_62+. As to your failure, pls check:

1. The wifi chip is Intel 2200/2915
2. You get the correct version of driver from opensolaris.org if you run
solaris other than snv_62+
3. One thing that is always easy to neglect is the wifi button on the
panel. Make sure it is open.

If it still doesn't work, then pls be more specific on where it fails
and be better to provide the output of 'dmesg' '/usr/X11/bin/scanpci -v'
'modinfo |grep iwi'
