Update: I endup re-installing NV65,
SunOS porsche 5.11 snv_65 i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris amd64 i386 Installed frkit and powernow works again and then get some info about the devices: crw------- 1 root sys 181, 0 Aug 15 10:18 /devices/pseudo/power at 0:power_button crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 220, 0 Aug 15 2007 /devices/pseudo/powernow at 0:powernow /devices/pseudo/power at 0: total 0 /devices/pseudo/powernow at 0: total 0 checked for any possible files with the keyword powernow in /etc: /etc/minor_perm:powernow:* 0666 root sys /etc/name_to_major:powernow 220 check modinfo (will need to be compare against nv 70 later) next step bfu + acr + reboot to nv 70 and reboot once back in bv 70: frkit update all: compared modinfo 70 against 65: in n65 (PowerNOW!/SpeedStep 1.44 (ACPIC) which make sense since the devices exist in n70 I do see this one: (cpu nexus driver v1.0) could this be the problem? manually creating the powernow device didn't help either: crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 220, 0 Aug 15 10:51 /dev/powernow powernowadm /dev/powernow: No such device or address modinfo | grep -i power 120 fffffffff7e60000 2e00 220 1 powernow (PowerNOW!/SpeedStep 1.44 (ACPIC) 162 fffffffff7f9e000 4d38 131 1 pm (power management driver v1.117) 164 fffffffff80c8000 17a0 181 1 power (power button driver v1.22) tried this ./frkit uninstall powernow ./frkit install powernow Warning: Driver (powernow) successfully added to system but failed to attach reboot, still nothing uname -a SunOS porsche 5.11 opensol-b70 i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris any suggestion?
