Just wanted to report that I replaced the Broadcom WLAN mini-PCI in my Ferrari 3400 and installed the Intel PRO 2200 BG mini_pci card.
as the IWI drivers are now integrated in opensolaris , all I had to do to get going was to install the InetMenu applet. So at long last the Ferrari 3400 does have WLAN built in using the Built in WLAN antenna which is much more sensitive than what comes with a WLAN_PCCARD.
