I suspect porting the driver wouldn't be too hard.  (I've worked on
wireless code for both NetBSD and Solaris.)  The bigger issue, is
whether it could be integrated or not.  The problem with these reverse
engineered drivers is that they may or may not stand up to certain legal
tests.  OpenBSD doesn't have to worry to much about being a legal target
from Intel, but I suspect Sun has to tread a lot more carefully.

It would be far, far more likely to be acceptable if Intel were to come
out and bless the OpenBSD driver as being legally acceptable.  I'm not
sure this is likely to happen.
