Back in May I asked a similar question and got the following answer from Vincent Wang: -------------------------- >For a bleeding edge user (not kernel/driver hacker) should >we use the cardbus driver in snv_44 (or later) or use the >beta level cardbus v0.3 on x86? In snv_44, CR6354996 and CR6419924 are still not fixed yet. These bugs can impact cardbus. The recommended version is still v0.3 at present (Since it's a non-offical version, it includes some hacks to handle these bugs. It's still better right now) For SPARC, the only version that can be used is the one in snv_44. It was tested on Sun's servers with PCI-to-CardBus adapters but not tested on Tadpole's SPARC laptops yet. (Garrett's offering some help on this) ----------------------------- Looking at the bug database this morning, it appears that neither of the above bugs are closed. So I wonder if one still should install Cardbus 0.3 in place of the provided pcic on x86 with recent versions of Nevada? Stuart This message posted from opensolaris.org
