Yes, you are right. Sorry, I didn't notice this was not installed.
Installing the Solaris 10 encryption kit from http://www.sun.com/download/index.jsp?cat=Security&tab=3&subcat=Cryptography%20%26%20Encryption made a difference. By the way, another reason that was preventing my adapter to work was that the router was configured with WPA2. It worked when I changed the configuration to WPA. -- Douglas > It seems you need to install SUNWcry package. > Please see the FAQ section: > http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/laptop/wireles > s/wpa/ > --------------------- > > > FAQ > can connect to my access point successfully, but I > can't get an IP > address through DHCP. > > Due to certain export control restrictions, stardard > Solaris encryption > kit only supports 128 bit RC4, so you might need to > download and install > new SUNWcry package. > > --------------------- > > This is the root cause. > > -- > Quaker > _______________________________________________ > laptop-discuss mailing list > laptop-discuss at opensolaris.org > This message posted from opensolaris.org
