Hi Stephen,

Unfortunately, you'll need a new driver for 3945. Daniel Bergamini (who
wrote original iwi/ipw drivers for *BSD) wrote to me privately that
he was going to try to port his new wpi driver to OpenSolaris soon.
I'm hoping that Damien will tell us when he got something that he
could share with our community :-) Our WiFi team is going to
help Damien with his first port to OpenSolaris.

Off-topic: How many people here are interested in having WPA/IEEE802.1X
support? I'm getting ready to release our prototype in a few days. The
point is that this code is probably not going to make into Solaris as we're
planning to significantly change the way Wi-Fi gets configured (see Peter
Memishian's proposal for dladm(1M) enhancements, etc), but this prototype
is available and can be used _now_. The ath(7D) driver is the only driver
that supports WPA now, but more drivers (ipw/iwi in particular) should get
WPA support in the near future.
