I'm now about to try this, but ran into some issues, still in preparation
for the actual compiling/testing. Right now a nightly of the unmodified
20060320 snapshot is running on an E3000 with snv_33.

The cardbus v0.2 sources contain a couple of modified files in addition to
new sources. Since I've no idea what version of O/N they are based on, it
would take some effort to extract the necessary changes, digging through
various snapshots or the subversion repository.

It would be very helpful if those source tarballs would contain the info
which build they are based on, until which build they are necessary (in
case the changes have already been integrated), and to provide diffs for
changed files, not only the whole files, so one can easily apply them to
a later build oneself.

One thing I find confusing both about the cardbus sources and in general
is whether a driver goes into the sparc/intel or sun4u/sun4v/i86pc
directories. In the cardbus case, the sparc files go into
sparc/{cardbus, pcic}, while the x86 files go into i86pc/{cardbus,
pcic}. This seems inconsistent; I'd expect that they are architecture
independent and should thus go into intel (isa directory) instead of
i86pc (architecture directory).
