I had the problem at a time on a Tecra 9100. It was linked to the lock screen, seeming to lock up to the X server events. As a turnaround I used xlock on a desktop launcher when I needed to go away. (/usr/openwin/bin) HTH, Bruno. This message posted from opensolaris.org
